Carolyn Montgomery was 28-years-old when she was brutally murdered in Dallas, Texas, in 1971. Her case remains unsolved.

A single mother, Carolyn worked as a cocktail waitress at an upscale North Dallas country club, Willow Creek Club, to support herself and her six-year-old son, Dequin. She lived with her son and a roommate, another young woman + a fellow cocktail waitress.

They shared a nicely kept two-bedroom apartment at the Sherwood Forest apartments, which resembled half-timbered castles, off Northwest Highway near the Love Field airport. At the time, Dallas Love Field was one of Dallas’ biggest business hubs.

Carolyn was pretty, young, well-liked by her co-workers. She was less than five feet tall with perfectly coifed brunette hair like Mary Tyler Moore.

On the morning of August 8, 1971, her and her son’s futures were stolen.
